Welcome to ToonPlay. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information across the ToonPlay service: our website at toonplay.fun and our mobile apps for Android and iOS. ToonPlay is an AI-generated cartoon video platform. By using our service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Most of this policy applies to both. Where a practice applies only to the mobile apps — advertising, crash reporting and push notifications — it is called out in The Mobile Apps below.

Information We Collect

You can browse and watch videos on ToonPlay without creating an account. Signing in is optional and unlocks features such as liking videos. The information we collect includes:

• Device Identifier: A randomly generated identifier stored in your browser's local storage — or, in the mobile apps, in the app's own storage — the first time you use ToonPlay. It lets us recognise your device across visits so your preferences and history persist. It is not derived from your hardware and is not shared with other websites or apps.
• Advertising Identifier: Mobile apps only. Where you have permitted it, the apps use your device's advertising identifier (the Google Advertising ID on Android, or the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS) to serve and measure advertising. You can reset or disable it in your device settings.
• Device and Browser Information: Your browser name, operating system, time zone and language preference, recorded when your device session is created.
• Account Information: Only if you choose to sign in. When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive and store your name, email address and profile picture from that provider, together with an account identifier we generate. We never receive your password.
• Viewing History: The videos you watch, including how long you watched them, used to provide personalized recommendations.
• Likes and Preferences: Videos you have liked, and settings such as your light or dark theme choice.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the platform — pages viewed, videos played and how far through them you watched, videos liked or shared, and which part of the site you opened a video from.
• Session Recordings: Recordings of how you interact with pages, including mouse movement, clicks, taps and scrolling. See Analytics and Session Recording below.

Signing In

ToonPlay does not require you to register. Most of the platform works with an anonymous device session and no personal details at all. If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, that provider shares your name, email address and profile picture with us so we can create and identify your account. We use those details to personalize your experience and to associate your likes and history with you rather than with a single browser. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it to send marketing email.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser localStorage for the following purposes:

• Essential: Maintaining your device session and, if you are signed in, keeping you signed in. Stored in localStorage rather than cookies.
• Preferences: Your theme (light or dark) and similar display settings.
• Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies beginning with _ga to distinguish visitors and sessions. Microsoft Clarity sets cookies including _clck and _clsk for the same purpose.
• Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners set cookies to serve and measure advertising, and to limit how often you see the same ad. These are set by Google rather than by us — see Advertising above.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect certain features of the platform. Clearing your browser's storage for this site resets your device identifier and the history attached to it.

Third-Party Services

ToonPlay relies on the following third parties, each of which may collect information independently under its own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics — usage measurement. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
• Google and Facebook Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in, to verify your identity and share your basic profile with us.
• Google AdSense — advertising on the website. See how Google uses cookies in advertising.
• Google AdMob and Firebase — advertising, usage analytics, crash reporting and push notifications in the mobile apps. Both are Google services covered by the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
• Content delivery — video and image files are served from our content delivery network, which processes your IP address in order to deliver them.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your viewing history, likes and preferences for as long as your device identifier or account remains active. Data held by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity is retained for the period configured in those services and is subject to their own retention policies. You can clear your browsing data and cookies at any time, which resets your device profile on ToonPlay. To have the data associated with your account or device removed, follow the steps in Delete Your Data.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

ToonPlay is designed to be a family-friendly platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Browsing and watching require no personal information at all. Signing in is optional and is intended for users aged 13 and over; if you are under 13, please do not sign in. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has signed in or otherwise provided personal information to us, please contact us at contact@toonplay.fun and we will delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
